About me

You can read about my father here (possibly more of a “read” than this page)

This is where I work and this is one of the places where I “play”!

If you wish to email me, register/log in and you’ll find my email address in the sidebar on the right.

Of course there are any number of other ways you can follow or connect with me, see below:-

Disclaimer and a promise:-  Anything you post here by way of comments may be reproduced at will, and I may or may not agree with and or sanction.  By return I promise to only delete SPAM and not to edit anything appearing here from external sources.  The views presented may therefore not be my own, but should be attributed to the source of the comment.

Some visitors may find the site a little overwhelming in terms of the literary content (a “wall of words”!), please do not feel intimidated but take as much or as little as you wish.  If it bugs you then comment in a constructive way and you may be surprised at the effect you have.  Or not - I reserve the right to make the site as I wish.  Ultimately I think it would be the poorer if I made it for other people and as a blog it reflects me myself - so beign a wordy person it is a wordy site.  Enjoy!  (Or move along if you hate it so much, the internet is a BIG place!).

If you take an interest in the more technical side of things, particularly the blogging engine which I use, then you may with to look at this blogger blog for such posts as I wish to separate out from this more generic blog.

If you insist…. Ok well if you really absolutely insist on delving into the matter then you can always ferret about here to find out more about me though I should say this is not especially up to date and can be a little random. There is the opportunity to apply graffiti to my site if you persist in ferreting about enough - and that is not comment moderated so you can go crazy there!

If you think what I am reading tells you enough then ignore that! And if you want a cross selection of what I read back around 2005-6 that’s there too!

I suppose I have to divulge my common place ‘net alias, which is MainframeGuy. Googling would soon reveal my alias and I am not particularly concerned about anyone knowing my identity anyway, so in blogging you will sometimes see Paul on comments and sometimes see Mainframeguy). Also I have to retain Mainframeguy just to annoy Nic Small who insists it is misread as MainframeGAY by all his friends and visitors to his edit Suite!

I’ll tuck away here a little note that if you’re after the more personal posts (see those tagged “OKC Post” for some idea) then I have tucked away on the end of my blogroll (where only the more observant might spot it) an entry for “My own OKcupid journal” which will link you to my journal on the OKCupid dating site.  I use this as my cruddy personal blog where you can get the boring bits, or juicy gossipy bits (depending on your inclination!), about my personal life.  The OKCupid site is genuinely free and not that bad - it provides a very secluded mini blogosphere and possibly my journalling there sowed the seeds that eventually led me towards blogging independently in the big bad blogosphere.  If so the other ingredients were Chyrp, too much spare time, and NaNoWriMo!.
